Whisper-quiet operation means this motor makes very little noise during operation. It has anti-crushing technology to detect if something is obstructing the door during operation. Plus, you can also fit Infrared Safety Beams and use the auto-close feature to automatically close the door after 30 seconds of passing the beams. Furthermore, it has a wall mounter controller with a courtesy light. Switch Courtesy Light on and off. Override automatic closing. Electronically lock the system for added security. Installing the RDO Correct installation of the Centurion RDO II motor, together with a mechanically sound garage door, will give you many years of great service from the motor. However, there are a couple of things we regularly see that should not be done by the installer. The installer should not install the RDO on a wheel that is not compatible by using a hack saw to modify the wheel so that the motor fits. This creates a weakness in the wheel, and very often the wheel breaks and can cause both the motor and the door to break. If needed, we can install a wheel adapter or a compatible wheel. The fork of the motor should fit over one of the webs of the garage door wheel. The door needs to be serviced so that it is in a good working condition before the motor gets installed. Many garage door motor installers can only install the motor, but do not have a lot of knowledge regarding garage door mechanics and working. We often find that a motor is installed incorrectly and that the door is not working properly. Using your RDO Using your Centurion RDO II is very simple. You simply press the button for the required function on the remote and it should work by either opening your door or switching on a light etc. There are however times when either the motor or the garage door experiences a problem and you need to understand how to get the motor in manual mode or disengaged. To do this, you will notice a red cord on the side of the motor.

The one that we recommend is the Centurion RDO II. We install the motor on either the left or the right hand side of the door. This will depend on available space and cabling. The shaft of the garage door goes through the RDO motor and the motor fits through one of the wheels of the garage door. Centurion-RDO CALL 082 367 7818 Roll-up garage door A roll-up door consists of a single piece of steel. The doors rolls up into a cylinder. It is important that your door is in a good mechanical condition before considering automating it. If your door is older than 10 years you should consider installing a new door before automating it with an RDO. A roll-up garage door is sometimes also known as a roll-a-door or roller door. Roll-up door or roll-a-door installed by Mr Gate Mr Garage Basic Features of the Centurion RDO II Garage Door Motor The Centurion RDO is a 24V DC motor. You need to pull gently down on the cord until it clicks. If you look at the motor, there is a lever that is pulled down to engage and disengage the motor. This is lever is spring loaded. Always make sure that the cord is hanging on the side of the door and motor so that is does not get broken when you open and close the door. Fault finding and problem solving When you experience a power failure or load shedding, your motor has battery backup and should be able to open the door about 10 to 15 times. Please note if you have external receivers or beams connected to the motor that it will consume battery power and after a couple of hours you may find that your door does not open. So, if you know the power outage is going to be a couple of hours, then put your door on manual so that you can easily open your automated garage door. If none of the following fixes seem to correct the problem, you will need to consult the owner's manual or contact a professional. Begin by checking the outlet where the door opener is plugged in, and make sure the cord is plugged in all the way. It's also possible that the circuit breaker, fuse, or GFCI outlet powering the door opener circuit has tripped or burned out. If you find that other lights or electrical circuits in the garage aren't operating, this is the likely cause, and you'll need to reset the breaker or GFCI or replace the burned-out fuse. If the circuit breaker or GFCI is tripping repeatedly, it's a sign that there is a short circuit somewhere in the system—possibly even the garage door opener itself. Finally, it's possible the garage door opener's motor has burned out and isn't operating at all. This is a problem that will require you (or a service person) to replace it. It's possible you are out of range of the antenna inside the garage. Modern garage door openers are essentially small radios that operate at about 315mH, and a few feet of extra distance can affect the signal. Make sure that the antenna on the motor unit is hanging downward and is not damaged in any way. If the door functions fine with the hardwired wall switch, it's likely the battery needs replacing in the remote control or keypad. Reprogram the remote control or keypad. The sensitive electronics in the remote control or keypad can sometimes lose its programming and may need to be reset. Each garage door opener has a slightly different method of reprogramming, so consult the instructions or look online for information on how this is done for your particular opener.

Your garage door has set-limit switches that instruct the motor when to stop running—both when it is opening, and when it is closing. If the close-limit switch is set wrong, it may prevent the door from closing It can also cause the opener to reverse or pull back up when you attempt to close it.Adjusting the limit switch will stop your garage door from behaving erratically.Near the bottom of the door track on both sides are electronic eyes that require a clear line of view between them. If the sightlines are clear between the eyes, the door will close smoothly all the way to the floor. However, if anything is blocking the sightline, or if the brackets holding the electronic eyes are out of alignment, the door will fail to descend all the way. In most cases, the door will stop or reverse, and lights will flash to tell you there is a problem.Sometimes, leaves or debris can block the sensors; it if happens frequently, it might be that vibrations from the door in the tracks are loosening the brackets holding the sensors and must be realigned.Replacing damaged rollers or lubricating them with silicone lubricant can correct this problem. Sometimes the tracks themselves may shift or get bent, which can also cause the problem. When the door reverses before it even hits the floor, this is often because the close-force setting needs adjustment. The friction of the door rollers within the tracks is fooling the door opener into thinking the door has reached the floor, and the opener needs to be adjusted for less sensitivity. Damaged or rusted rollers can also create extra friction, fooling the door opener into stopping prematurely. Make sure the rollers are in good shape and well lubricated to prevent this problem. Adjust the close-limit adjustment screw on the door opener motor in small increments until the door stops upon touching the floor. This switch is usually a simply touch-lever mounted on the end of the track near the motor unit, and if it is too far ?

away, the motor will stop the door before it fully opens. The solution is to move the switch closer to the motor unit. This is a somewhat rare problem, and will usually show itself immediately after a new garage door opener is installed. Balky or damaged rollers can also cause the door to stop short of fully opening. Inspect and replace damaged rollers, and lubricate rusty ones. If this happens, look for a screw on the motor unit to adjust the sensitivity of the opener. Especially in winter, when rollers sometimes get stiff, the door opener might be refuse to open. Lubricating rollers can also help with this problem. Methods for adjusting sensitivity vary; so consult the owner's manual for directions. It is rare for this problem to suddenly appear; if it happens at all, it will usually be noticed when you first install the garage door opener. Press the button to turn this feature off. The light bulb will blink two times. This feature is designed to prompt you that the lock button is activated. When the lock button is ON the garage door opener will work from the wall control but the remote controls are locked out. If an obstruction breaks the light beam while the door is closing, the door will stop and reverse to full open position, and the opener lights will flash 10 times. The LED next to the learn button will flash a number of times, and then pause signifying the potential issue. Consult your manual for sensor installation instructions. The Learn button may be green, orange, red, purple, or yellow with a small LED next to it. The operator or opener should activate. If not, repeat the steps. The door will stop in the up direction if anything interferes with the door travel (including binding or unbalanced doors). Run the opener through a complete travel cycle. Run the opener through a complete travel cycle after each adjustment. Simply wait 15 minutes and try again. Turn the UP adjustment screw clockwise.Turn the DOWN limit adjustment screw counterclockwise.

Turn the DOWN limit adjustment screw clockwise. If the door is binding, call for garage door service. If the door is not binding or unbalanced, adjust the DOWN force. The door should reverse. After each adjustment, run the opener through a complete cycle. The door should stop. After each adjustment, run the opener through a complete cycle. After each adjustment, run the opener through a complete travel cycle. After each adjustment, run the opener through a complete travel cycle. NOTE: Do not increase the force beyond the minimum amount required to close the door. All previous codes are now erased. Kirkland, Washington 98034. ( 0 ) ( 0 ) by eric4566 09 Jun, 2012 Great portable dvd player, but not portable. The Centurion PPBDVD8 portable DVD playor is great for watching dvd's and can easily fit in a suitcase, not really portable, because it has to be powered from the mains, or a car supply. (you would need a long lead to take it on the beach) nevertheless, I have found it very useful and one of my better buys. ( 0 ) ( 0 ) by trillby89 12 Dec, 2016 Cheap and cheerful Works perfectly but I wouldn't like to guess on the longevity of the dvd player. The fact it comes with a case is brilliant and it fits perfectly around the seat. When plugged in to the car cigarette lighter or the mains it is a great product, but if it had a battery pack it would be a hundred times better. Next time I'll read the description before buying. I've also found it doesn't like DVD copies very much - it tends to freeze - so we're having to take the originals out in the car and hope they don't get damaged!Regards, Martin I also tried fiddling with ALL the settings but to no effect. This should mute its speakers but should still leave you with sound on the line out to the TV. If that works but the sound level is still too low on the TV, you could buy yourself a lead that goes from minijack to 2 phonos (lots of people sell them now so you can plug iPods etc into hifi amps) and then run the audio out of the headphone socket into the TV's red and white phono sockets. The volume control of the DVD player will then need to be turned up most of the way and you should get a strong signal. Andrew So, stick a headphone audio jack in the rear of the player, stick the volume on the DVD to max, then you can control the sound level from your TV. OSHA AND CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65: MUFFLE DUST EXPOSURE In keeping with the policy of DENTSPLY NeyTech to build safe products, comply with all National and State statutes and keep you, the valued customer informed; the services of a Certified Industrial Hygienist firm were employed to test and evaluate the lab operator s exposure to respirable refractory ceramic fiber (RCF) and crystobalite (a form of crystalline silica) present in the furnace muffle. When it becomes necessary to replace the muffle, the person doing this work is recommended to wear a HEPA filter respirator and protective gloves as a precautionary matter. Seal used muffle in a plastic bag and dispose of in accordance with local, state and Federal regulations.

ESC - Pressing the ESC key during programming will return the furnace to the IDLE MODE or FIRING CYCLE MODE if the furnace was running a cycle. NITE - Pressing the key will cause the furnace to go into NITE MODE if the furnace is in IDLE MODE. The furnace will cool down to 100 C then the muffle will close. Press the ESC key to cancel the NITE MODE operation. NITE (Firing Cycle) - Pressing the key during a firing cycle will cause the control to enter the Nite Mode after the completion of the firing cycle and the LCD shows Nite Mode. MUFFLE MOVEMENT - Pressing the up or down key during the idle mode will move the muffle in the indicated direction until it reaches its full travel. Pressing the key while the muffle is moving will stop the muffle at its current position. See MUFFLE POSITION below for muffle movement during the DRY and COOL portions of the firing cycle. The conversion cannot be done during parameter programming. Load the carbon rod into the muffle in the horizontal position. Change the program number to 0 and then press the key. The Purge Cycle starts automatically when the key is pressed. Pressing the (red) S key stops the cycle. A complete purge cycle lasts approximately 2 hours. CAUTION: Do not stop this cycle at elevated temperatures, the release of vacuum can damage the muffle and cause an unsafe condition.Manual Muffle Positioning: The muffle can be manually positioned during the DRY and COOL portions of the firing cycle by using the muffle movement keys. The furnace will then remain in this position and not move until the dry or cool time has elapsed. In this routine various control characteristics can be reviewed and changed. These include: Temperature Adjustment, Programmable High Limit Temperature, Vacuum Adjustment and Idle Down Time. Silver calibration is not recommend due to its poor accuracy. The Tcal setup feature allows the operator to adjust for temperature differences between materials and techniques.

If consistent overfiring is occurring, the Tcal value should be reduced by the estimated number of degrees that it is overfiring. The estimated number of degrees that the furnace is underfiring should be added to the Tcal value. If the furnace is estimated to be over firing by 15 C then subtract 15 from 960 which results in is entered into the Tcal value replacing the 960. The furnace can be reset to the factory calibration by setting the Tcal value to 960 C. Changes in the Tcal value affects all temperature and programs. B. PROGRAMMABLE HIGH LIMIT TEMPERATURE: The user can program a high limit temperature that is lower than the fixed limit of 1204 C built into the control. The furnace is now recalibrated to the new value. This will cause the vacuum pump to run continuously. The maximum vacuum appears on the LCD display. Enter this new value for 100% vacuum in step 3 above. This test should be done after running or firing cycle to assure all moisture is removed from muffle. 10 The time is set to 15 minutes when shipped from the factory. Use the digit keys to enter a new time in minutes followed by the key. CLEANING: Vacuum dust and dirt from the furnace rather than blow. This will minimize the amount of air born dust particles. Use a soft damp cloth to clean the control panel. Avoid excess water or solution when cleaning the furnace. These solutions can attack the panel or electronics and cause the furnace to malfunction.! User has the responsibility for carrying out appropriate documentation if a hazardous material is spilled on or inside the equipment. Before using any cleaning or decontamination method except those recommended by the DENTSPLY NeyTech, user should check with DENTSPLY NeyTech, that the proposed method will not damage the equipment.

Or is “rushed” a better description. Yes, this is good, and while I find Centurion visually less appealing than some tanks, and weak in its slowness-at least on road, to think of it as anything other than a stunning success would be foolhardy. In fact, for longevity, it may realistically take the record as, highly modified, it’s still in active service at the front line and still (potentially) effective. That may put it ahead of T-34 in that respect, one of few possible competitors for the title. As always, we get a good type history and lots of in-service anecdotes. As usual, we also lack a nice three-view. That’s a bit of a drone of mine on these volumes, and you have to say that within the space available, this does another great job. Former military friends of mine used to say that influential Israeli families would only allow their progeny to serve in Chieftain regiments. So, buy it, it’s great.

The book has plenty of human interest on how the men who operated Centurion did their jobs and felt about the tank. (I never thought I would cry about a tank, but there is a story in the book that did move me to tears.) A few quite small cautions, though: Although one can say Comet was too late to affect the war significantly, it did allow the UK to field a truly effective and competitive tank, and I think our author neglects this one a bit. At Bovington, Comet and an early Cent used to be sat side by side, allowing a clear developmental link to be seen. On p 17 the picture caption mentions Churchill’s 75mm gun, but it’s a picture of one with 2-pdr. Unhelpful. Captions like these in books had confused me on a number of issues for many years. In the discussion on HE performance between the 17 pdr and 77mm guns, better HE performance of the 77mm is mentioned. Being actually derived from 17 pdr and the same 76.2 mm calibre in fact, I thought the 77mm HE shell was the same as the 17 pdr’s, just mated to the shorter fatter case. One reference even gave me the same MV for HE. Any possible advantage in rate of fire due to the slightly shorter all up round was always going to be marginal, and is discounted quickly. A shorter round could conceivably lead to a shorter gun and more recoil room allowing greater elevation for better range, but this is unlikely and not mentioned. On p 36, the logistics and ordnance availability issue is very confusingly described, and I still don’t think I have it right in my head. One section towards the end is formatted very differently to the rest of the book as if it was culled from another volume altogether. Small things that don’t detract from an excellent book that as always to cover everything you’d like would need to be many times longer. One of the chapters briefly descibes some of the early teething problems with the Cent, but to be honest, the 4 years I was on them, I dont recollect it breaking down - EVER. Must have been luck, but all round, the book sort of welcomed an old friend backThis is a well written and illustrated book with plenty in to satisfy the enthusiast and modeller.

The first (and true) mission consists of the following: - 100 regular modules - 1 needy module - 100 minutes - 10 strikes The second mission is just like above, but replace the needy with another regular module. Not a true test of mettle, but you would still be regarded highly on conquering this mission. The mission has been carefully designed to require one of each of all of the current modded regular modules, and then fills in the remaining regular modules with a selection of vanilla modules (as there are not quite 100 modded modules currently available). George W Prescott 5.0 out of 5 stars It is still in service in South Africa. The book has plenty of human interest on how the men who operated Centurion did their jobs and felt about the tank. (I never thought I would cry about a tank, but there is a story in the book that did move me to tears.) A book well worth buying and reading if you are into tanks and other armor.By and large, this is another excellent volume in the series, although as with a number of others, they seem to be getting a bit, shall we say, peremptory.

A few quite small cautions, though: Although one can say Comet was too late to affect the war significantly, it did allow the UK to field a truly effective and competitive tank, and I think our author neglects this one a bit. Small things that don’t detract from an excellent book that as always to cover everything you’d like would need to be many times longer.Sorry, we failed to record your vote.
